     Gallery 3 - The Tolkienists

[Vitosha 2003]
I know most of the Tolkienists from Internet. We have something like an unofficial J. R. R. Tolkien fanclub. This picture is from our very first meeting. We summoned in Sofia and then we climbed to Vitosha mountain for one night. The weather in Sofia that day was awful - it was raining cats and dogs - but it could not break our enthusiasm and we climbed the mountain. There we had perfect weather and spent really great time together.

[Balrogovo 2003]
This is a picture from our first tent camp together. It was in August 2003. The weather was perfect and we spent the two nights before the fire and we did not use the five tents to sleep in.
We named our camp 'Balrogovo' for 'Balrog' was the most often used word during this time. We made up some howlers, like 'The balrog of plenty' (the Bulgarian word for 'horn' sounds 'rog', which is close to 'balrog') or 'Where The Wild Balroses Grow', which one became the motto of our company.
It was really unforgettable time. The only thing I am sorry about is, that it continued only two nights. It was splendid and the sky was cloudless and all the stars could be seen very well - something, that is impossible from the big city.
We were thirteen people on this camp. Here are all of us. Originally this picture is named 'all the balroses' ('balrose' is combination between 'balrog' and 'rose').

[Vitosha 2003]
This is another picture from Vitosha. In 2003 I celebrated Halloween together with the Tolkien group. It was a nice, two-nights party in a small mountain hut. On the second day three of us visited Cherny Vruh, the highest top of the mountain. It was very cold there, but the view was nice and we could see at least two more mountains from there - Rila and Stara Planina (aka The Balkan Mountain).

A Lightsaber duel at Halloween eve. The guy with the sith saber is my best friend from the club - Phillip.
