AlexGermanWarrior:
I am so shocked. I saw that news today.
I meet him at MCF and as we met for the first time there it was like he was a friend since years.
My deepest condolences to all friends and family.
@Alex the words from Udo are wise. It is not important where we think about him. It is important that we think about him and that our thoughts and prays are with him.
Rest in peace brother. You will always be a part of me.
Hail to Joro. The Spirit never die!
AlexGermanWarrior:
He will always be with us:
Milésio:
@Marti: you'll all be fine. He's smiling over us now, remember? Celebrate him.
@Alex: funerals are a very "personal" thing... Don't you worry, he knows you're with him today.

It's hard to express my feelings even on Bulgarian now, but I'll try
I want to say one big THANK YOU to all of you, for your support, for your great words, for being the most awesome family one can imagine...yesterday we were talking with Marti about all that things, we were talking about your coments, about the fact Ruxia, Sorin and Alin are coming to Sofia, about all the gestures and words...she said "these people are incredible" ... I hope I'm using the right word to translate what she said
it's true - you're the most awesome people and I'm proud that I'm your brother and that Joro was is our brother
I don't have blood brothers or sisters, but you are my real brothers and sisters and I love you so much!
Thanks again for your support - it means lot for me, I can't describe with words how much but I hope you understand what I mean...in Bulgaria we have old wisdom (close translation): "you'll recognize the friend, when you're in need", and that's true...it's easy to drink beer, to have fun with everyone...but the most precious thing is when there is someone to give you a hand and support when you are down and in need. Thank you for being here! True friend has no price...
Udo, your words are very wise and true...it's one of the reasons I respect you so much...not just because you are funny guy and mister Metal ;), but also because your words are wise...maybe it's because your life experience...I read some stories you share with us, about your life before Tina, about terrible experience as a police officer...this thing made you strong, made you who you are.
My life was and is different, but I also had bad times...and I consider myself a strong person when I have to help someone...but in these case I lost my strenght, I'm trying to gather my strenght back, because this is the warrior spirit - stand and fight, live by your heart...but it's hard at the moment
Once again, thanks to all
We are the warriors of the world united, Joro is among us - the army of immortals and even when our body dies, our spirit lives on
Hail to all of you and to Manowar for bringing us together and making us who and what we are!
poserbaby:
Alex, it's natural that we mourn over our friends' deaths, but each and every one of us mourn in their own way. For some people attending the funeral may be a way to pay respect to the lost friend, for others it's another way to be with him for the last time and say goodbye, but for some of us it would just be too formal way to show their grief and they can't find their place in such ritual, they prefer to have their own. It's all good, you should mourn Joro in whatever way you feel it, until you've finally reached the point in which you feel ready to cherish his life instead of mourning his death - because this day will come, the sadness will shift away and only the bright, good, loving memories will stay :) Be strong brother.
All of you who have the chance (and decided to) to be with Joro that one last time, at the funeral, please carry our love to him and our best wishes to his family and the rest of his friends.
Milésio:
What Sara said :)
There'll come the time when you'll laugh with Joro again... :)
All of you who have the chance (and decided to) to be with Joro that one last time, at the funeral, please carry our love to him and our best wishes to his family and the rest of his friends.
+1

Difficult to express what I feel.
We never met, we never spoke to each other, but a friend of my friends is my friend and also brother!
All my condolences for him, his family and friends
His time arrived... but only it's his body that's gone, let him take a place in your hearts brothers and sisters!
Just reading so much good comments about him as a person makes me believe the world lost a great man two days ago.
But be sure in your hearts he will always be immortal.
TourEngland:

Damm this is really sad.
Hail brother.... NEVER FORGOTTON xx
DD:
I just came back from the funeral. So many people came that the church couldn't fit us all and we were practically standing on the church doorway... so many people will miss Joro.
It was not a traditional funeral... just like Joro wasn't an average guy... His parents are amazing. In all their grief they found the strength within themselves to show us pictures of Joro with his family and friends, pictures of the different places he's been to... Joro was a journey man and today we saw him off on his last journey.
Joro's dad said that he didn't want funeral music and he put MANOWAR on. And while MANOWAR were playing we were seeing pictures from the MCF, pictures from Romania, pictures from Kavarna... pictures from all the different places he's been to.
Joro had bought a ticket for the Sonisphere festival in Sofia... a ticket he won't be able to use... But he won't need it anymore, as he'll be watching all concerts from the sky. And he'll be with us. Only we won't see him. But he'll be with us.
I am sorry guys. I am emotionally exhausted right now. I know that this post is a mess... I'm jumping from one point to another, but it will take time to gather myself together.
soundcat:
Hail Joro, we meet just for some short moments of our lifes, you took care of me, when my energy left me in front of the stage in 2008. Beware me of tumbling down... you touches my soul with yours kind laugh and the sun in your heart...
Thank you, for having the chance to meet you as a true Brother of Metal and a man with honour.
Rest in Peace, Spirit... your heart will beat forever between ours....
Sabi
soundcat:
And this is from Blackhorse for you....
Sadly, I heard the message yesterday from Anibal that a true Brother of Metal is no longer among us. I was glad that we had the chance to party together on the House of Death Party and you can be sure, that you will be always in my thoughts as a True Brother. I am sure that will see us again in Valhalla. Hope you be on Odins side.

BelfastJen:
DD I have tears in my eyes reading your post.
It sounds like it was a beautiful funeral and Im sure he would have enjoyed knowing manowar was played instead of dreary hymns.
R.I.P Joro.
hendy:
This is the quote that Alex is talking about:
I use it as a signature for a long time in the bulgarian forums from where i met Joro in the first place...
OK, so this was it... it was difficult... I'm not able to write anything coherent anyway... just know that his family will see this thread and they are very touched by your kind words.
The ceremony was so emotional (not the one in the church, which was trivial, the one after that, i don't know how it's called) - with the slide show with all of the pictures of the great times he had.......... and with Manowar playing in the background........
P.S.: oh yeah... Roger Waters is going to announce his tour soon.... so many times we have talked with Joro and Alex about going to see him together........... I will be there! And Roger... better play "Wish you were here"......................
demetriowar:
My most true respect and sorrows for his family and all those who knew him. Unfortunately I didn't.
I only know that I shall meet him at Asgard's gates, and it will be a pleasure for me!
This weekend I will open the first beer for him! Yes, I will. \o
IronZephyr:
Thank you so much for the news, DD and Marti. We are all struggling to cope with this sad loss - knowing you were there somehow helps me find a bit of peace. I know some people feel unable to attend such services, and I totally respect that. But for me, these services are not so much for those who have passed but are for those who remain, so that they can support one another and share loving memories.
And while I am sure there are many tears that will be shed for our fallen brother, I am also sure that laughter and smiles and many, many stories will be shared today and in the days to come. I only regret I live so far away I was not able to attend and join my brothers and sisters and dear Joro's family to pay my last respects. The fact that the family played Manowar tells me that they really knew and respected him, and that brings joy to my heart - much needed in this bleak time.
Though my own tears fall far away, I know that in spirit we all stand together, side by side, honoring our lost brother. I will continue to send prayers of strength and healing and hope that all affected can find the best way of coping with this tragic loss. Wishing peace to Joro's dear parents, who I'm sure suffer the greatest pain at this time. Nothing will ever fill Joro's place, but hopefully some of our love can help them heal.
