DD:
Last night I dreamed that we were partying together with Spirit, Marti, Ruxi, Sorin, Alex and Miro. The strange thing is that I woke up several times during the night, but every time I fell back asleep, the party continued. I really can't believe that Spirit is gone. I will miss him terribly.

Kate Lozen:
I think he deserves on HUGE wreath from HoD. We should show him how much we will be missed him. I know any wreath won't bring him back here. But this is only thing which came to my mind in this moment.

blackmamba3107:
He will be immortal for me and all who know him !

I didn't dream last night...but I was waking few times thinking of him

I want to share something about him, I need to share

Words are not enough, writing words on forum doesn't express the emotion...I couldn't share more stories, but I'll share something

I don't know exactly when his health problems started - he wasn't that kind of guy to share problems and to complain...many of us like to share about daily problems, but after all if you have good health and life, nothing else matters. It was hard to make Joro speak about his health...at least for me - sometimes he was joking about his health (his typical sense of humor - making fun with the problems), but never shared too much (at least with me). In time the problems got worse - he was visiting hospitals, made many researches, but no one actually found the diagnosis...till the end. But even with that he didn't lose his sense of life, he was living happy, having fun with friends - as it seemed in my eyes...unfortunately we didn't have the chance too meet very often, since we live in different towns but at least we were talking often - phone/ICQ/Facebook, I never got the feeling Im gonna lose him. But I think he had have great spirit...and his Spirit lives on. Few weeks before the HoD Easter party I knew he's doing some medical researches and treatment, but he told me, he feels better and he'll definitely come to Veliko Turnovo, which was great. But later his health got worse again :( and he missed the party...and we missed him (I'm happy we called him, and he was able to speak with some of us)

I want to share some Manowar related story...back in 2008 I have the plan to attend MCF2008, but then I got in serious money problems, so I was very desperate, but didn't see way out. Then Joro called me and told me he is buying me MCF and plane tickets...he told me something like we are all brothers of metal and we definitely have to attend MCF, he told me that he have possibility to help me, as I would help him if I had the possibility. True...so I went to MCF 2008 thanks to him, and it's something I'll be grateful all my life (of course I give him back the money later) cause I met many of you, met Manowar and these were some of the best days in my life...but these are also one of the best memories with Joro I'll save for all my life. Attending the best band with brother and friend, having fun together...is there something better?
We were talking some time ago about going to MCF again, we were talking about going to Roger Waters tour if he tours again (we're both huge Pink Floyd fans)...well, Manowar are doing tour and MCF2010, Roger will also tour again (it was confirmed few days ago)...and I'll think about Joro, everytime I go to concerts of our favorite bands...and every time I make concert with my own band, cause he was huge fan of my band...and every time we make HoD party and drink beer, we'll drink for you also my friend...
for me...it's hard to continue now

I know his Spirit lives on, he remains in our hearts and memories, I know he's drinking finest ale now with great warriors, sitting by Odin's side, I know he's away from the pain...but it's hard to accept the feeling we'll never meet again in this world. It's easy to say life continues...but it'll never be the same...every time we lose a close person, part of us dies.

But I won't say farewell my friend...I'll say good buy brother...until the next time in Valhalla (when our time comes)

p.s. I want to share something, our close friend posted on Joro's Facebook, I'm sure he'll appreciate those words with his typical sense of humor ;D
(close translation):
Dear friend, my favorite donkey, rest in peace and know that: soon or later I'll come wherever you are to kick your donkey butt for what you've done now - for all the concerts we are missing, for all the beer we didn't drink, for you'll never swear again my favorite team, for you'll never speak again about cats with rice...and for you'll never read all the words written on your wall

Well, he'll read all the words written in our hearts.
And, knowing him, I think he don't want us to stay in grief...I think he would prefer us to gather, to make something in his honor, to drink a beer...as true brothers/sisters and warriors, as he was true warrior and brother...

Though My Life May Soon Be Gone
I Hope You'll Carry On
Remember Me As One Who Would Not Kneel

Yes, we will carry on and will remember you!
Hail brother!
...and cheers

DD:
Thank you, Alex! We all have beautiful stories with Spirit and I am sure that we will all remember Spirit as One Who Would Not Kneel. For he didn't kneel. Not for a single moment. And it must have been painful, but as you said... he didn't show it.

Hail Spirit!

Jim:
My heart and condolences go to all his family and friends. I never met him myself but he seemed like a true Warrior and a great friend to many. A kind and gentle human being with a wicked sense of humour (judging by the dvd's and all the pics).

Rest in Peace Brother

Jim

gogi:
I had the honour to met him last year in Bucharest.
REST IN PEACE BROTHER.

Lacrima:
Such a shock... I didn't realize... I guess most of us didn't...

REST IN PEACE BROTHER, I'M GLAD I HAD A CHANCE TO MEET YOU...

AndreiVajnaII:
That is great, Alex! Thank you very much for sharing it. :)

RuXia:
Yes, Alex thanks for showing us the way back into strength.

DD:
My condolences go out to his family and friends.

Yesterday evening I just wanted to check the forum and then I saw Joro's (gwpower) thread. It hit me like a hammer from out of nowhere. Somethings take time to just believe - although this time hasn't come yet.

I was lucky and am I proud that I was able to meet Joro during the MCF 2008. I will never forget him because he was a great guy and made me laugh like hell. Seeing him afterwards on the DVD together will Alex was brilliant - I love that "interview" like hell.

Joro - your spirit will live on - where ever you are. You will always have your family by your side and we will surely meet again - someday somewhere when fate has decided that our time has come - as it did yours.

I am very proud to see the unity we have in the House Of Death - Manowarriors who have not posted for so long - have come back to pay tribute to a great Warrior.

No matter where we are - our hearts are one - United we stand!

Udo

The House of Death really is a unique community.

I was so deeply moved when I heard that our friends Ruxi, Sorin and Alin are coming all the way from Romania to for a last farewell to our beloved brother...

Once again this shows how loved Joro is!

Northern Son:
Thank you for sharing that, Alex! Those are great memories! We will always remember him as good, caregiving and strong person, with amazing sense of humor!
Going out with him was always great fun, we attended so many concerts together and everytime was so exiting! We waited for the frontrows, then waited to see the band members for photo, autograph and a little chat. He was constantly teesing me about all the concerts and festivals he attendet, and all the band he saw. ;D It was so much fun, and i will never ever forget it!

bumblebee:
I'll miss the funeral...it's not like I can't or I don't want to come...it's just...I know it may sound strange to many of you, but I hate funerals and farewells - I think the person is his soul (and the memories he leaves behind), not his body and I want to remember Joro as the living person, the great and funny friend...not as the body I'll see on the funeral

it's just my point

and in my heart I'm saying "goodbye" not "farewell"...cause he's here and one day we'll meet again in a better world, when our time comes...

DD:
I can understand your point, Alex. I didn't want to go to my dad's funeral for the same reasons.

RuXia:
of curse everyone can understand that.
